Welcome
End-of-life matters require a delicate blend of compassion and honesty, and this is what I offer.
Based in the Findhorn Community, Scotland, and servicing the local area, I conduct alternative funerals and offer companionship for the dying.
I also speak and write on matters that move me - life and death matters, you could say.
Pink Coat Funerals
As an alternative, independent funeral celebrant or conductor I support and empower people to honour and celebrate the life of a loved one in an authentic, personal and creative way.
I also write eulogies or tributes, and poems, and especially like to honour the lives of "different" or "difficult" people.
Writing & Speaking
Increasingly my writing takes the form of poetry, and I love to create eulogies. My easy-to-read articles are a mix of my views, information and the many experiences of those I speak to and work with. I enjoy speaking to diverse groups about end-of-life matters and other passions such as the delight of living simply and clutter-free.
Companionship for Dying
Like a midwife for death, I accompany the dying through their fears and challenges towards a place of acceptance and tranquillity.
My desire is to help facilitate a natural unfolding and enable the dying person to pass over with dignity, serenity and simplicity. This may involve our working together on a variety of practical, emotional and spiritual matters towards a good and peaceful death. I am there to listen deeply and without judgement to whatever comes up, bringing warmth and wisdom, patience and understanding.
Workshops
I run interactive, informative and reflective workshops for small groups, bringing people to a more relaxed and knowledgeable place regarding funerals and death.
Decluttering
When I help people with clutter clearing I have the joy of seeing the transformation not just in spaces but in people. Calmer, more easeful, simpler lives are testiment to the wonders of physical clutter clearing and organising, and the freeing on many levels that tends to ensue.
